Product case study · Campus Assistant
Campus Assistant
This demo grew from an FAU chatbot project I worked on during my master’s. Building on the original conversational chatbot, I separated course learning, degree planning, and study materials into distinct entry points, so students can go straight to what they need while AI is integrated throughout the experience.
01Project origin
One chat box. Too many needs.
FAU Chatbot is a Q&A assistant built around university information and course data. I worked on course-data preparation and Q&A design, turning course information from university webpages into structured training data and shaping response flows and templates around students’ common questions.

Students first have to work out what they need and how to ask for it.
Looking up courses, planning a degree, and making sense of course material can all be handed to a chatbot. But students still have to work out what they need and how to ask for it.

Everything you need, at a glance.
Rather than starting with a blank chat box, I wanted students to land on a dashboard shaped around their studies—so they can jump straight into what they need, with AI built into the experience.

03From answer to learning
Ask a question, then keep learning.
Drawing on students’ courses and materials, AI can answer questions, generate practice exercises, and suggest what to learn next. It can also recommend new topics to explore based on their interests and completed courses.
